10:00AM-12:00PM PT
OR
1:30-3:30PM PT

Instructor: Diego Rios

Breathtaking colorful Sugar Skulls have long been part of the Mexican culture. Beautifully decorated Sugar Skulls are often used as decorations on graves and altars during Dia de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. Dive into the rich history of the sugar skulls tradition alongside artist, Diego Marcial Rios, who overviews its fascinating background before giving a demo on the craft. Learn the ingredients/recipes for creating sugar skulls and application techniques necessary to decorate them. Once you have got the basics down, roll up your sleeves to create and hand paint your own unique, expressive work. Let your imagination go wild while you personalize your own sugar skull.

Instructor will provide all the materials needed, even a blank sugar skull and colored royal frosting. As an extra Bonus: There will be a FREE Raffle in each workshop for 2 sugar skulls completed by Diego Rios!

This fun workshop is the 4th in a series of five Dia de los Muertos cultural artistic workshops open to all ages and skill levels and is perfect for families. Sign-up for all five!
