Make and paint your very own ceramic Alebrije in observation of Dia de los Muertos! Participants and families will be able to pick from a variety of fantastical creatures (Alebrijes) and have access to a variety of vibrant colors inspired by the rich colors of Mexicican Folk Art.

Alebrije is a Mexican Folk Art form that is a hybrid fantastical creature. They are believed to connect us to a deeper sense of purpose and can guide us in the afterlife.

Alebrije sculptures will be provided by Instructor, Gabo Martini. The Community Center will provide underglazes of various colors, paint brushes of various sizes, sponges, paint palettes and q-tips for dot-making. Pieces will be glazed and fired by the Community Center and participants will be able to pick up pieces shortly after the workshop.
