There's something special about the music series that happens on the 3rd Sunday of the month at Starling Bar Sonoma. Each session features between 1-3 vocalists who design a set, and from that, a general theme for the show emerges. Singers and musicians work apart from each other in the time leading up to the show, and when we get together to perform there's an element present where almost anything can happen, and the listening of the band members (and especially the audience) forms the sound that happens in the moment.
This upcoming event has three vocalists working the theme of "Pop goes Jazz". Sheila Whitney's strength is Latin music, and she plans to sing some standard Bossa numbers, but you might be surprised which pop tunes end up in her set. Toni Chiappetta has disco, jazz, show tunes and Joni Mitchell up her sleeve. Abigail Samoun has a mixture of pop and jazz and sings very well in French....

Starling Bar Sonoma features delicious craft cocktails and for this show, a Pizza Oven from 4-7pm.
