Time: 5:30 – 8:30 PM
This class meets once
Instructor: Hannah Day
Location: Room 201, Fiber Arts Studio
Ages: Adults
Skill Level: Beginning
Registration Fee: $45

In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of paper cutting while creating a cozy, seasonal fine art adornment for their winter household. The class will explore inspiring examples of papercutting by other artists, then develop their own holiday design to execute while receiving instruction on paper cutting technique. Seasonal reference images and a lightbox will be available to assist in creating your composition. Class fee includes use of all materials: an Exacto knife, extra blades, bristol paper, tracing paper, scissors, double-sided tape, cutting mat, ruler, and electric votive to illuminate your paper lantern safely. This workshop is suitable for all levels of artistic ability. Participants must have strong enough fine motor abilities to handle a sharp blade safely.
Please share any special considerations (medical, physical, learning) that will help your instructor make your class accessible and accommodating for you. You can share these considerations when register or by emailing Sean at sean@sonomacommunitycenter.org.
