Come Enjoy November’s Kitchen Concert with Jennie Nourse and Kim Hughes!
This month’s Kitchen Concert on Sunday, November 26, 2023, promises to be another
exciting night of music. The well-loved Kitchen Concerts, produced by local vocal coach
Cynthia Tarr, will once again showcase two of her talented singers.
Jennie Nourse and Kim Hughes have appeared separately and as a duo in many
previous SCC recitals and Kitchen Concerts, as well as performing locally in the popular
trio, The Quixotics, with Cynthia Tarr.
Jennie’s love of music started before grammar school; her great curiosity about different
musical genres and styles, including world music and percussion, makes for an eclectic
repertoire which she brings to her performances. Kim also started singing at an early
age, eventually performing in choirs, madrigal groups and Gilbert and Sullivan
operettas, as well as pursuing a solo career in traditional music.
The concert begins at 6:00 p.m. in Room 110 at the Sonoma Community Center; wine
and cookies will be available before the show and at intermission. Tickets are $15
dollars at the door, with proceeds going to the center’s music program.
