Norman offers a deep dive into the history and machinations behind the current wars that the US is involved in. From Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Gaza to many of the behind-the-news scenarios that shape the news we get (and don't get). Norman has reported from conflict zones and has been a well informed peace activist for decades. We will plumb the background of the current wars and talk about the facts that are conveniently omitted from the mainstream media as well as delve into the ever-present danger of these wars spreading and escalating. This is information you will NOT find in popular news sources. There will be plenty of time to engage in dialogue and ask Norman your questions.
Norman Solomon is an American journalist, media critic, activist, and former U.S. Congressional candidate. He is a longtime associate of the Media Watch group Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR). In 1997 he founded the Institute for Public Accuracy, which provides outside-mainstream news sources for journalists, and serves as its executive director. His books include War Made Easy, The Wizards of Media Oz: Behind the Curtain of Mainstream News, False Hope and War Made Invisible. He has appeared on many TV shows, including PBS News Hour, CNN, MSNBC, C-Span's Washington Journal, Democracy Now, and a documentary film was made from his book War Made Easy with Sean Penn narrating.
