Sonoma Arts Live: Young Frankensten
7:30 PM
Sonoma Arts Live Theater Company
Description:
Presented on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall at the Sonoma Community Center

The comedic genius of Mel Brooks shines in his adaptation of the acclaimed 1974 movie “Young Frankenstein.” Okay, here’s the story! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally, just to throw you off), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. Got all that?! All the characters you loved from the ’70s classic film come to life hysterically in song.
