Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Total Sessions: 5
Instructor: Claire Carlomagno Wirick & Meret Piderman

Let’s dive into machine sewing and creative needlework! Campers will learn how to use the sewing machine to make projects like a fun lavender eye pillow, a bucket hat, and a tote bag! Campers will also learn to hand sew a felt animal/doll. A basic pattern will be provided but campers are encouraged to modify or create their own patterns. Campers will hand stitch and embroider their anima/doll. Felt will be used for the bodies. Additionally buttons, beads, ribbon etc will make each figure unique. No previous experience is necessary.
Please share any special considerations (medical, physical, learning) that will help your instructor make your class accessible and accommodating for you. You can share these considerations when register or by emailing Sean at sean@sonomacommunitycenter.org.
