Description:
Featuring artmaking for the whole family inspired by the extraordinary world of Japanese paper and printmaking. Make a unique and playful Origami Book Box with Japanese-American interdisciplinary artist C.K. Itamura, and engage in art explorations with printmaker and community advocate Alejandra Rubio and RAIZES Collective artist Edilia Mendez. Enjoy a performance by Sonoma’s ViVO Youth Orchestra members at 1:00 pm!

C.K. Itamura is an interdisciplinary artist based in California. Her conceptual, visual, performance, and community art engage intergenerational audiences in the exploration of observation, contemplation, and expressive imagination. C.K. is an Artist-in-Residence of the SF Unified School District Library Department and the San Francisco Arts Education Project, founded by Ruth Asawa. She works with many organizations such as the SF Public Library, Contemporary Jewish Museum, and San Mateo County Libraries to create and provide professional development workshops for educators and hands-on workshops for students.
