Steeped in deep tradition, these ancient techniques are still highly relevant in the contemporary world of ceramic decoration and design. Amanda will demonstrate these opposite approaches to the surface and create a two-sided vase form with complimentary imagery. Think Yin-Yang! Students should have some idea of what imagery they would like to create (keep in mind this is free hand-drawing on a not-flat pot surface) Each student will be provided with a thrown vase form ready for their surface ideas.
