Jim Fitzgerald was born and raised in San Francisco. He's a "kid" of the 50's. He grew up after WWII when the new homes of the suburbia blossomed and multiplied by the hundreds of thousands; when America fell in love with the automobile; when radio was our number one source of entertainment; and when suddenly a new entertainment miracle called television was gaining foothold. His generation replaced "the Big Band" generation with "The Top Ten Hit Parade" guitar oriented music of the 50's all through the 80's.
