Turn old t-shirts into beautiful braided rugs in this hands-on workshop using a simple, no-sew four-strand technique.
What you’ll do

Give new life to old t-shirts by learning how to braid a rug. You’ll start by turning worn tees into soft, stretchy yarn, then practice the four-strand, no-sew braiding technique. In class, you’ll begin your own rug and leave with the skills to finish it at home. This process offers a relaxing, meditative way to create something both beautiful and practical. Please bring four old t-shirts (preferably each a different color) to cut up.

Note: the technique involves repetitive motion with both hands, so hand endurance and some finger dexterity are required.
