“Carry yourself like a dancer!”… with a new workout developed by retired professional dancer, Kate Leland that she uses to keep strong and active. This class will combine BALLET for posture and balance, graceful, low impact CARDIO for stamina and coordination and FITNESS for strength – all to fun, upbeat music. No turns or jumps means it is easy on the joints. Kate taught Ballet at the Center adult classes right here at the Community Center in the late 2000s and is happy to be back to share her knowledge and passion with her community.
Required Supplies
2 to 5 lb free weights (optional.) Comfortable tennis shoes or dance shoes. Yoga mats provided and some 2 and 3 lb weights.
Disclaimer
The instructor requires a minimum of 7 students pre-registered to attend the class.
If you are interested in attending, we strongly encourage you to pre-register before 4:30 PM the day before.
In the event of a class cancellation, you will be refunded the full amount if you did pre-register.
